As a Senior Warehouse Operator, you are more than an operator. You play a key role in the daily warehouse operation. You work closely with the Supervisor, act as the first point of contact on the warehouse floor, and actively contribute to productivity, quality, and process improvements.
You ensure that inbound and outbound processes run smoothly, inventory remains accurate, and the team performs at a consistently high level.
Key Responsibilities
- Align with the Supervisor and take shared responsibility for opening and closing the warehouse in accordance with company procedures.
- Coordinate and execute daily inbound and outbound activities, including:
- Loading and unloading goods
- Receiving and inspecting shipments
- Order picking, packing, and labeling
- Registering shipments
- Accurate processing in ERP/WMS and transport systems
- Safeguard inventory accuracy and quality standards through stock control, quality checks, and handling of defective products.
- Ensure efficient storage, sorting, and relocation of goods to maintain a structured and productive warehouse environment.
- Act as the first point of contact on the warehouse floor, guiding and supporting team members in daily operations.
- Train and onboard new employees on warehouse processes, systems, and safety standards.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations while driving efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives.
Wat wij zoeken in jou
- 3–5 years of experience in a warehouse environment, preferably within a technical or spare parts organization.
- Solid knowledge of inbound, outbound, inventory control, and shipping processes.
- Valid reach truck certificate (mandatory).
- Valid OPT certificate (mandatory).
- Forklift certificate is a plus.
- Experience with ERP/WMS systems, transport portals, and basic MS Office applications.
- Good command of English (spoken and written); Dutch is an advantage.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines without compromising speed and accuracy.
- Willingness to work flexible hours when required.
- Valid Category B driving license and/or VCA certification are considered a plus.
- Proactive, hands-on team player with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility.
- Motivated to obtain a BHV (Emergency Response) certificate.
